Privacy policy.

Last updated 30 July 2026

Signal14 exists to make recommendations traceable. We hold your information to the same standard: this policy sets out exactly what we collect, why, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It is written to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are

Signal14 is operated from Brisbane, Australia by Pat Dusabe, trading as Signal14 (ABN 42 434 334 428). We publish this website, provide the free Decision Framing Check, and deliver a paid concierge pilot for client decision briefs. Questions about this policy can be sent to beaconvisible@gmail.com.

What we collect, and when

The free framing check — nothing stored by default

The framing check asks for your role, the decision type, your strongest evidence level, what you are recommending, the budget at risk, and a buyer / problem / outcome statement. These inputs are processed to produce your result on the page. If you stop there, we do not retain them.

If you choose to leave your email

Your result includes an optional email form. Only when you explicitly submit that form do we store your email address together with the framing-check inputs listed above — your role, decision type, evidence level, the recommendation you wrote, the budget at risk, and your buyer / problem / outcome statement. We store these so we can reply to you personally and follow up about your decision.

Pilot enquiries

If you send an enquiry about the paid pilot, we store your name, email address, company or website, and your message, so we can respond and scope the work.

Technical data

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data — such as IP address and browser type — in server logs used to serve and secure the site. We do not use this data to identify visitors.

No payment data

This site has no checkout. We do not collect, process, or store card numbers or any other payment details. Paid work is arranged separately by written agreement and invoice.

Why we collect it

  • to produce and deliver your framing-check result and emailed summary;
  • to respond to your enquiry, and to scope, deliver, and support the paid pilot;
  • to operate, secure, and improve the service, using aggregated or de-identified information wherever possible.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

Consent

We only store your information when you take a deliberate step: submitting the optional email form on your result, or submitting the enquiry form. That submission is the consent we rely on under APP 3, and this policy serves as our collection notice under APP 5. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your records.

Where your data is stored

Submitted records are stored in Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare’s edge SQL database. Cloudflare operates a global network, so your data may be processed and stored outside Australia. We state this plainly because APP 8 requires care with overseas handling: we take reasonable steps to ensure the infrastructure we use protects your information to a standard consistent with the APPs.

How long we keep it

  • Pilot enquiry records — kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, then deleted.
  • Framing-check submissions with an email address — kept for the same 24-month period, then deleted.
  • Framing-check inputs without an email submission — not retained.

You can ask us to delete your records earlier at any time.

Cookies and tracking

We use no third-party advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. There is no advertising pixel, social widget, or tracking identifier following you off this site.

No model training without consent

Client and audience data is private by default and is never used to train AI models without explicit consent. This is an existing, published Signal14 commitment, and it applies to everything you submit through this site and everything you supply during a pilot.

Security

We collect the minimum we need, encrypt data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), store it on access-controlled Cloudflare infrastructure, and limit access to the people who need it to serve you (APP 11). No internet service can promise absolute security. If a data breach were ever likely to result in serious harm, we would notify affected people and the OAIC as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Access and correction

Under APPs 12 and 13 you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email beaconvisible@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will investigate and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

When the product changes, this policy changes with it. The date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be flagged on the site.
